Project Case Study 3: Government Contract & Compliance Management

The Challenge: To ensure a high-value government project was awarded to the most qualified vendor and that federal acquisition regulations were met perfectly to avoid risk.

My Role: Contract Officer Representative (Management and Program Analyst)

The Process & My Actions:

I provided strategic feedback to shape the statement of work for a $388,200 project, ensuring requirements were captured effectively. 

I conducted a formal technical evaluation of all vendor proposals, documenting strengths and weaknesses to support the selection committee. 

As a project lead, I managed processes that ensured 100% compliance with federal acquisition regulations, mitigating risk for more than 10 organizational units.

The Outcome: My meticulous evaluation and compliance oversight ensured the project was awarded appropriately and safeguarded the agency from contractual and regulatory risk, setting the multi-hundred-thousand-dollar project up for success.

Tools & Technologies Used:

SharePoint: Developed and maintained a site to improve knowledge sharing and stakeholder collaboration during the process. 

MS Excel: To create tracking worksheets for project milestones and compliance metrics. 

Jira: For tracking tasks related to the technical evaluation and documenting findings for the committee.
