The Challenge: Managing regulatory compliance for a commercial fleet of more than 11,000 drivers requires a tracking and resolution infrastructure that can process discrepancies at volume, maintain audit-ready documentation at all times, and give leadership continuous visibility into risk exposure and regulatory trends. Without a structured system, compliance gaps accumulate faster than they can be addressed manually, creating significant legal and operational risk under FMCSA oversight.

My Role: Transportation Compliance Specialist, Performance Food Group

The Process & My Actions:

I assessed the existing compliance tracking environment and identified the absence of a centralized, structured discrepancy management system as the primary operational risk. I designed and implemented a SharePoint-based workflow to capture, classify, track, and resolve compliance discrepancies across the full driver population. Every discrepancy entering the system is logged with source, type, assigned owner, and resolution deadline. Automated notifications ensure that nothing ages past its resolution window without escalation.

I built a Power BI compliance dashboard that consolidates discrepancy data, resolution rates, trend analysis, and risk exposure metrics into a single leadership-facing view. The dashboard updates in real time and allows program managers to filter by driver population segment, discrepancy type, and time period to identify patterns before they become systemic problems.

I administer UKG Learning and UKG Onboarding platforms to ensure that training compliance records are maintained accurately and that new hire readiness is documented and auditable across the organization.

The Outcome: The compliance infrastructure I designed and operate supports a 99.5 percent discrepancy resolution rate across a population of more than 11,000 commercial drivers. The DOT documentation maintained within the system is audit-ready at all times, meeting FMCSA standards for driver qualification files, hours of service records, and vehicle inspection documentation. Leadership has continuous real-time visibility into compliance status, risk exposure, and operational trends through the Power BI dashboard.
